License and purchase terms

These terms apply when you buy a plugin on victorduse.com, for example Divi Video Pro. They explain what each license lets you do, how payments and renewals work, and what to do if something isn’t right. Bought a plugin through the Divi Marketplace? Then Elegant Themes’ marketplace terms apply instead.

Questions about a purchase or these terms go through the support page.

The licenses

Each plugin is sold with one or both of the licenses below. A license covers the plugin you bought it for. The price of each license is shown on the plugin’s pricing page and at checkout.

Annual license

  • Websites: unlimited.
  • Updates and support: for one year from the purchase date, and for each year you renew.
  • Payment: a yearly price. The license renews automatically each year at the same price until you cancel.

Lifetime license

  • Websites: unlimited.
  • Updates and support: for the lifetime of the plugin, meaning for as long as I develop and sell it.
  • Payment: paid once. No renewals.

What the licenses allow

  • Use on websites you own and run, personal or commercial.
  • Use on websites you build and maintain for clients. If you stop maintaining a client’s website, the client needs their own license to keep getting updates and support for it.
  • Use on staging and development copies of those websites.
  • Use on WordPress multisite networks.

What the licenses don’t allow

  • Selling or giving away a plugin, its license key or its downloads, on their own or as part of a theme, plugin, layout pack or bundle.
  • Sharing your license key with people outside your business.

About the GPL

The plugins’ PHP code is released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later, like WordPress itself. The license you buy is for the things around the code: downloads, updates, your license key and support.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are in US dollars.
  • VAT is added at checkout where the law requires it, based on your country. Businesses in the EU with a valid VAT number pay no Swedish VAT (reverse charge).
  • You get a receipt by email after every payment.
  • Your download and license key are available right after payment.

Renewals and cancellation

  • An annual license renews automatically on the same date each year. You get an email reminder before the renewal.
  • You can turn off automatic renewal at any time from your account. The license then runs until the end of the year you’ve paid for.
  • When a license expires, the plugin keeps working on your websites. You just stop getting updates and support until you renew.

14-day money-back guarantee

If a plugin isn’t right for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of a purchase or a renewal and you get the full amount back. Just write to me through the support page. When the refund is made, the license is deactivated and you stop using the plugin.

Right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU

The plugins are digital content that you get right after payment. When you buy, you agree that delivery starts immediately, and you accept that the statutory right of withdrawal then no longer applies. The 14-day money-back guarantee above still gives you the same 14 days to change your mind.

Support

Support covers using the plugin as documented, problems and bugs in the plugin, and conflicts with other plugins or themes as far as they concern the plugin. It doesn’t cover custom code, design work, or problems in other products. Support is given in English or Swedish, Monday to Friday, through the support page. See the support page for details.

Updates

Updates bring bug fixes, compatibility with new versions of WordPress and Divi, and new features. Every change is listed in the plugin’s changelog, linked from its product page. Always keep a backup of your website before updating.

If a plugin is ever discontinued

If I stop developing a plugin, I’ll announce it at least three months in advance. You keep the latest version, and it keeps working on your websites. Lifetime licenses for that plugin then give no further updates or support.

Liability

The plugins are tested carefully, but they’re provided as they are. I’m not responsible for indirect losses such as lost revenue or data, and my total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license. This doesn’t limit any rights you have as a consumer under the law.

Personal data

To deliver your purchase and support, I store your name, email address, billing details and license information. How this data is handled is described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

These terms can be updated, for example when new plugins or licenses are added. The terms that applied when you bought or renewed your license apply to that purchase.

Law and disputes

These terms follow Swedish law. If we disagree about something, let’s try to sort it out together first. Consumers can also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, arn.se). Consumers in the EU keep the protection their own country’s laws give them.
